EWGS
The English Woodland Grant Scheme is operated by the Forestry Commission and offers a suite of grants that may be suitable for the management of existing woodland for woodfuel. Terms and conditions apply. For full guidance on EWGS please visit www.forestry.gov.uk/ewgs.
EWGS grants include:
- Planning Grant – A template to assist planning
- Assessment Grant – More detailed gathering of information to improve management decisions
- Improvement Grant – A capital grant for work that will create, enhance and sustain biodiversity benefits.
- Management Grant – An annual contribution to additional costs of providing and sustaining higher-quality biodiversity benefits.
- Regeneration grant - Supporting desirable change in woodland composition through natural regeneration and restocking after felling.
